A couple of weeks ago, I was on LinkedIn and came across a post discussing what laundromat startups should consider.
They mentioned some good things:
- Location
- Demographics of the area
- Equipment
- Utilities
I added a few more in the comments:
- Number of laundromats in the given area
- Local business density
- Procurement Technical Assistance Center for NAICS code forecasting
- Local employment market
The Procurement Technical Assistance Center for NAICS code forecasting sparked a question and a request to expand on it in Wash Weekly.
So, that’s what we’re covering today.
What is the PTAC?
They are procurement professionals who work to help local businesses compete successfully in the government marketplace.
PTACs are the bridge between buyer and supplier, sharing their knowledge of both government contracting and the capabilities of contractors to maximize fast, reliable service to our government.
The short version, they are here to provide local businesses with assistance to participate in government contracts.
